A freshman student at Proctor High School has been arrested after the student allegedly made threats against the school, according to the Utica Police Department.

All three students are in police custody and are expected to be charged with making a terroristic hoax, which is a felony.

Edmond Police had extra presence on campus Thursday morning out of caution and to be visible to students and the community.

The AJC also reported Wednesday a student at South Cobb High School has been arrested for threatening violence at that school.

The school asks that parents take some time to discuss with your children the seriousness of posting any type of threat or anything that could be perceived as a threat on social media.

Florida students who returned to school two weeks after a mass shooting say they were haunted by fresh memories, but heartened by an outpouring of support.

The student also reportedly told police officers they got the idea from watching school shooting pranks on YouTube.

While officials say there is no evidence of a threat at Billerica High, there will be an increased police presence in the area.

Officials said no firearms or other threats were located. The Chesterfield Police Department was made aware of the threat Wednesday at 10:30pm.

"The investigation is ongoing to determine if this student has access to other weapons", the lieutenant said.

Gage was booked into the Livingston Parish Detention Center on a charge of terrorizing.

The American Civil Liberties Union said schools have the right to punish students the same way they could if they missed class. "However, we are participating in the walk to stand up for gun law reform for our safety". They didn't release any more information about him because he is a juvenile.
