  • Ex-Playboy Model Karen McDougal Sues to Break Free of NDA and Tell Her Story on Alleged Trump Tryst

The White House has said Trump denies having an affair with McDougal.

Davidson told McDougal that the National Enquirer would purchase her story but would not print it because of the friendship between Trump and AMI chief executive David J. Pecker, according to the Daily News. She also believes President Trump's attack dog attorney Michael Cohen, the same attorney who says he paid Daniels $130,000 out of his own pocket for a "hush agreement", was "secretly involved" in the negotiations.

In papers filed with the Los Angeles Superior Court on March 20 and EXCLUSIVELY obtained by HollywoodLife.com, her legal team alleges that the tycoon and his campaign worked with AMI, the parent company of The National Enquirer, to keep her story from becoming public. "We intend to invalidate the so-called contract that American Media Inc. imposed on Karen so she can move forward with the private life she deserves".

The model - who last month told The New Yorker that the purported coverup took her took her "rights away" - also claimed that American Media warned her that further disclosures would break her contract and "cause considerable monetary damages". The former is now suing American Media Inc. "Ms. McDougal received $150,000 (nearly half of which went to the lawyer, who she did not realize was colluding with the other side) and a false promise to jumpstart her career as a health and fitness model".

Howard spent several hours pressing McDougal on the details of her story.

The lawsuit claims McDougal was not told AMI had no obligation to run articles she had written or that they were simultaneously negotiating deals to kill other negative stories about Mr. Trump, and that his representatives received constant updates throughout the negotiations a year ago.

McDougal's lawsuit was filed on the same day that a NY state judge ruled Trump must face a defamation suit by California restaurateur Summer Zervos, who accused him of sexually harassing her after she appeared on his former reality TV show The Apprentice. She additionally accused her own lawyer at the time of joining their efforts to mislead her about the nature of the deal.

Through efforts including the collusion of her own lawyer, AMI has consistently deceived and manipulated Ms. McDougal through an illegitimate contract.

As her story was not published, McDougal sought to give her statements to ABC News back then and AMI immediately handed her $150,000 and promised her she would land on two magazine front page, as well as in many articles, but that her story still would not be published.

"AMI entered into the agreement with Ms. McDougal in coordination with Michael Cohen, an agent of the Trump campaign, and for the goal of influencing the 2016 presidential election", the suit alleges.
