Border Patrol agents at the U.S. -Mexico border in Texas made a unique discovery after coming across an abandoned duffel bag.

An agency statement says the trio abandoned a bag and returned to Mexico.

And a decade ago, six tiger cubs were recovered from an attempted sale at a Walmart parking lot, also in Brownsville. Agent Robert Rodriguez said Tuesday that the tiger appeared calm and was possibly sedated.

Border patrol agents are used to seeing many odd things on the US-Mexico border.

Yesterday afternoon, the cub energetically paced back and forth in its holding cell at Gladys Porter Zoo's hospital facility. "We've discovered that it knows what a bottle is, so it's obviously been hand-raised".

Tiger is one of the many exotic animals illegally trying to import into US from Mexico.

That cub, a Bengal tiger, was sent to the San Diego Zoo.

Illegal smuggling is a booming market in the Mexican border. In the messages, he talked about receiving money for exotic animals.

The last time Customs and Border Protection seized a tiger at a port of entry was August 2017 in Otay Mesa, California, Padilla said. Credit: CBP. Third image shows the cub trying to stay awake.

She reported in another tweet that the tiger was expected to make a full recovery.

In fact, the state has the world's second-largest tiger population, second only to India. The tiger cub was found hidden in a box that was in the floor of the vehicle.
