  • Ken Jeong Helps Woman Who Suffered Seizure ... During His Stand-Up Set

And he recently used his medical expertise to help a woman who started having a seizure at one of his stand-up sets.

"A woman had a medical emergency during the show. It was such flawless timing: Ken just jumped from the stage to help", audience member Heather Holmberg said in an interview with USA Today.

Not to leave the crowd disappointed, Dr. Ken (which is also a semi-autobiographical series he stars in on ABC) returned onstage to finish his set.

Holmberg told USAToday that it was at first tough for Jeong to tell what was happening, because the stage lights were in his eyes. Ken thinks its heckling, when people are asking for his help. He was assisted by a member of the audience who is an emergency medical technical, Holmberg tweeted.

It was a moment where time stands still.

Physician-turned-comedian Ken Jeong came to the rescue of an audience member, in the middle of his comedy act during a show in Phoenix. Someone was having a crisis.

Jeong, who received his medical degree in 1995 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine, reportedly cleared the area and helped the woman regain consciousness.

Ken stayed with the woman until an ambulance arrived and she was taken to a hospital. In addition to "Dr. Ken", Jeong has also appeared in "The Hangover" movie franchise and TV's "Community".
