Melania Trump Missing But ‘Doing Great': Spokeswoman

  • 5 actually plausible theories on where the hell Melania Trump is hiding

Four days later, the White House announced that the 48-year-old Melania had successfully undergone an "embolization" procedure to treat a benign kidney condition, and that there were no complications. She has been meeting with staff and working on upcoming projects, according to spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham.

I see that the media are working overtime, speculating about where I am and what I do.

The first lady later tweeted several photos of the event, including two of her seated alongside the president.

To quell the speculation, Mrs. Trump sent out a tweet on May 30, claiming she was "feeling great" and was back to work behind the scenes at the White House.

Amid all the speculation about her shift from the White House to NY, she herself cleared the air by tweeting out to her followers - but in quite a non-Melania-ish tone.

Melania's only public communication during this time has come via six tweets. Others had to keep an eye on social media. "I feel strongly that as adults, we can and should be best at educating our children about the importance of a healthy and balanced life", the first lady said. "She was hospitalized for nearly a week and is now home and recovering". First Ladies don't just drop out of sight; they go to Memorial Day wreath layings, for example. I wouldn't characterize it as a long absence.

On Friday, June 1, it also said that Melania would not be joining President Trump during his trip to Camp David presidential retreat in Maryland this weekend.

The first lady has not been seen publicly for 24 days.

Melania's absence led to many people making widespread rumours and conspiracy theories.

The reception is not open to the press, the White House added.

On the first couple's last day in Sicily before jetting back to Washington, they stopped at the United States naval air base in Sigonella, Sicily, where the first lady gave brief remarks to troops prior to the President taking the podium. Right there. She's doing great.

The first lady was not visible to reporters on the ground.
