Iran has already told the United Nations nuclear watchdog it will boost its nuclear enrichment capacity within the limits set by the agreement with world powers.

Iran's top leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has set out a series of conditions on for European powers if they want Tehran to stay in the nuclear deal, including steps to safeguard trade with Tehran and guarantee Iranian oil sales.

The other parties - Britain, France, Germany, China and Russian Federation - have vowed to stay in the accord but many of their companies have already started to wind down Iranian operations.

Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei had ordered the increase in a speech Monday, in which he vowed that the country would preserve its nuclear program despite the USA withdrawal from the landmark 2015 accord. He also vowed not to accept limits on Iran's ballistic missile testing.

During a trip to France on Tuesday, Netanyahu warned that Tehran will soon use its uranium enrichment program to destroy Israel.

Under the 2015 nuclear agreement that Iran signed with world powers, it can build and test parts for advanced centrifuges, but specific restrictions exist on what technology can be researched and in what quantity within the first decade of the deal.

"The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran is duty-bound to prepare the ground for achieving 190 thousand SWUs", Khamenei said, insisting this production level would fall within the upper limit of what the nuclear deal (formally known as the JCPOA) allows.

Under the agreement with the US, France, Germany, Britain, Russia and China, Iran limited uranium enrichment capacity to satisfy the powers that it could not be used to develop atomic bombs.

The nuclear deal and lifting of punishing nuclear related worldwide sanctions created optimism in Iran after years of economic isolation.

Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, had ordered the increase in a speech on Monday.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu kicked off a three-day trip on Monday to persuade the leaders of Germany, France and the United Kingdom to abandon the Iran nuclear deal, meeting Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin to discuss the threat he says Tehran poses to his country and the wider Middle East.

The Trump administration argues the nuclear deal doesn't address other unrelated issues such as Iran's ballistic missiles, regional influence, support for "terrorist" groups and human rights.

Katz noted that many worldwide companies from France, England, Germany, Russia and other countries have already announced their intention to suspend their activity in Iran "because they don't want to be subject to the American sanctions".

For all of Iran's fierce public riposte to USA threats of tougher sanctions, some senior Iranian officials see the US position as a "bargaining strategy" and believe the door to a diplomatic compromise should stay open.

Trump also objected that the 2015 deal, reached under his predecessor Barack Obama, did not address Iran's nuclear work beyond 2025 or its role in conflicts in Yemen and Syria.
