Now, if the original KEYone from past year moved you with its one-of-its-kind nostalgic physical QWERTY and BlackBerry's push for a safe and secure software ecosystem, the KEY2 will quite literally blow your minds with everything that it's bringing to the table. The KEYone had an "aluminium frame", and impact-resistant display.

Also new on the KEY2 is the Speed Key.

BlackBerry's priority on security also continues with its commitment to patch Android as soon as Google pushes out updates.

Battery: The BlackBerry KEY2 is backed by a 3,500mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0 over USB Type-C. However, BlackBerry's phones have proved nigh impossible to root, and the Key2 is subject to the same two years of regular security patches and commitment to instant hot fixes as the KeyOne and Motion before it.

Rear camera: The BlackBerry KEY2 comes with a dual rear camera system consisting of one 12-megapixel camera (f/1.8 aperture) and a secondary 12-megapixel camera (f/2.6 aperture) for depth sensing and up to 2X optical zoom.

Below you'll find a list of markets where you'll be able to pick up Blackberry's latest.

BlackBerry said the KEY2 offers up to two days battery life, has 6GB of RAM and comes in two storages sizes - 64GB and 128GB. The storage can be expanded up to 2TB with a microSD card.

The front gets an 8-megapixel fixed focus camera with 1080/30p video recording.

It wasn't just stock Android though.

The Key2 launches with Android 8.1 Oreo on board, and BlackBerry says owners can expect one guaranteed update to Android P. Customizations to the stock Android experience are mostly light, though BlackBerry has added a new shortcut key to the right of the spacebar that can be held and combined with one of the other 52 keys to trigger shortcuts from any screen. There's the Hub for collating notifications from a number of communication apps, as well as DTEK security app, Calendar, Tasks, Notes and others. You can do this even when you're inside another app. There's also a new intelligent battery feature that can learn from your usage and charging patterns to alert you when you should plug it in to recharge.

The BlackBerry KEY² will be available in Black and Silver.

With an increase in storage and RAM on the lowest model, as well as the use of more premium materials and design, it's probably no surprise that the Key2 costs more than the KeyOne did at launch.

There was a lot to love about the original KeyOne. Dimensions of the BlackBerry KEY2 are 151.4x71.8x8.5mm and weight is 168 grams.

The original BlackBerry KEYone had 3GB RAM, coupled with 32GB storage.

We like the changes made to improve on the KeyOne.
