  • Meghan Markle news Meghan and Harry

Meghan, 36, sported a long-sleeve collared white Givenchy dress with a black belt, making this the third time she's worn the designer in the past month, including her iconic wedding gown.

But Meghan is diving in heard-first, keen to experience a day at the races with her new extended family. Her Majesty, who looked bright and bold in a sunny yellow ensemble, looked delighted to see the new Duke and Duchess of Sussex at the horseracing event, and smiled fondly at Meghan as she chatted to her new royal relative. All eyes, however, were on the Duchess of Sussex.

Before becoming a royal, and even before dating Prince Harry, Meghan was spotted on many occasions wearing off-the-shoulder dresses and bardot necklines, a seeming favourite of the Duchesses.

Hand-in-hand with her husband Prince Harry, Meghan looked lovely at the Royal Ascot event in demure black and white.

"It was very much her dress, and I felt very proud that she came to me for that part of the wedding".

For their first official royal engagement overseas as a married couple, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are heading to Dublin.

Each day of the Royal Ascot begins with the Royal Procession, where members of the royal family travel in Ascot Landaus from Windsor Castle to the racecourse.

Meghan looked incredible in an elegant white dress by French fashion house Givenchy, meanwhile Prince Harry looked dapper in top and tails.

Prince Harry and Markle received rapturous welcome and later presented a winner's trophy to jockey Frankie Dettori, who kissed her hand.
