  • Sanju shows how a biopic should be cast

Sonam Kapoor played Sanjay's girlfriend and Dia Mirza essayed Manyata Dutt in the film.

Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Sanju's box office collections would be tracked by Comscore (formerly Rentrak), a US-based media measurement company, according to a report by Firstpost. The film also happens to be the best opener for Ranbir Kapoor also as his previous best is at 19-20 crores for films like Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani and Besharam. He wrote, "Non-holiday... Non-festival release..." The movie has got positive reviews all over and the fans too are awe-struck with the movie. Yet, #Sanju packs a PHENOMENAL TOTAL on Day 1... And the film met with all such expectations as the mesmeric screenplay did magic from First Day First Show itself.

Ranbir Kapoor may be riding high on the success of his Friday release, "Sanju" which has become the highest opener of his career so far. The 65-year-old veteran actor today said it is "high time" that Ranbir and his best friend Ayan Mukerji think about getting hitched.

Even Twitterati has applauded Ranbir's powerful performance, there are too many expectations from Sanju.

Currently, with no opposition in theatres Sanju is set to enjoy a stellar run at the box office. As per the early estimates, it's a cakewalk for Sanju to cross the magical mark of Rs 100 crores in three days.
