630 women sat on the floor of the building's atrium in protest of the Trump administration's "zero-tolerance" policy that has separated families and has caused mass incarceration at the southern border.

They wore shirts with slogans calling for the abolition of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the agency responsible for deportations, as well as stopping cybercrime, counterfeit merchandise, criminal gangs and child sex predators. No hate, no fear. Several hundred people marched from Freedom Plaza to congressional office buildings, where at least 200 people defied orders from Capitol Police and were arrested. "We are outraged at all of the things that are unfolding in our country".

More than 500 women including a member of Congress were arrested on Thursday (Jun 28) in the US Capitol complex protesting President Donald Trump's hardline immigration policy that has triggered thousands of family separations at the border with Mexico.

People carried handmade signs, including one that read, "Don't have a heart of I.C.E".

Another woman who identified herself as L.A. Kauffman said the ultimate goal of the so-called movement was to remove the president from office.
