The team made a decision to alter its offense again, shipping former first-round pick Corey Coleman to the Buffalo Bills for a 2020 seventh-round pick, according to Adam Schefter. He was selected after the Browns sent the No. 2 overall pick to the Philadelphia Eagles as part of a trade; the Eagles used the pick to draft quarterback Carson Wentz. Both Callaway and third-year wideout Rashard Higgins have looked quite impressive during training camp so far, which could have been one of the many reasons that the Browns chose to deal Coleman.
According to ESPN, Coleman played in nine games in the 2017-2018 season for Browns, after missing seven games with a hand injury.
"We'll tell him how we do things here, what the expectations are".
Now Coleman will need to take that step with the Bills, where he will need to get acclimated to Buffalo's offense in short order.
This trade is the second one the Bills have made over the previous year that involved a first-round wide receiver.
Coleman also had off-field issues. He caught 23 passes and went for 305 yards and two touchdowns. Buffalo enters the season with Kelvin Benjamin as their No. 1 option, and a lot of uncertainty. "He's just coming in here to compete and earn. Its low risk and we'll see what happens".
For Coleman, it seemed as though he finally had a legitimate quarterback that could toss him the ball for the first time in his career, whether it was either Tyrod Taylor or Baker Mayfield.
