New Crystal Palace signing Jordan Ayew joined his Ghana worldwide teammate Jeffery Schlupp on his first day of training ahead of the season opener against Fulham.

Fosu-Mensah, 20, signed a season-long loan deal at Craven Cottage after spending the last campaign at Crystal Palace.

However, Fulham's Director of football, Tony Khan added: "I'm pleased to announce that Fulham Football Club has signed Timothy Fosu-Mensah on loan from Manchester United".

The 71-year-old former England national coach was hired by Palace in September last year, replacing Frank de Boer after the club lost their four opening games without scoring a goal, and, despite losing the next three matches, eventually guided them to 11th place. It has a nice history, it's a nice club.

He steered the Eagles to Premier League safety and has been rewarded with a new deal by the south London club.

"I spoke to the Manager and he gave me a good feeling".

"I'm happy to be here and I want to keep progressing".

His performances attracted the attention of Atlético Madrid, who signed him in 2015, before loaning him out to Sevilla and then Valencia.

Fulham have experienced a busy transfer window this summer, bringing in big-money signings such as Jean Michael Seri, Aleksandar Mitrovic and Alfie Mawson among others.
