  • Broncos vs. Seahawks Quick preview for Week 1

As the standoff in Seattle continues, Earl Thomas is not expected to play week one.

Fish reports that Seattle informed the Cowboys a second-round pick for Earl Thomas wasn't enough to acquire the All-Pro safety, and Stephen Jones and the Cowboys balked. Thomas' reaction to the lack of a resolution was clear in his post: "The disrespect has been noted and will not be forgotten".

The Seahawks are not in negotiations with Thomas, and there has been nothing to indicate that they are interested in giving him an extension while his current deal has a season remaining.

The Cowboys visit Thomas and the Seahawks in Seattle in Week 3.

For months, Thomas lived in a world where workout videos posted to his Instagram account - where he announced the end of his holdout - served as practice footage.

A source confirmed to ESPN's Dan Graziano that there's no new deal in place between Seattle and Thomas.

The Seahawks reportedly called the Cowboys on draft night, asking for the 50th pick alone in exchange for Thomas, a six-time Pro Bowler.

The Seahawks insist they are not willing to give away Thomas, who has held out of training camp because of his contract, a source told Schefter on Saturday.

The Dallas Cowboys reportedly made a big trade offer for a star National Football League player in advance of the 2018 regular season.

Thomas has since reported to the Seahawks, but he still doesn't appear to be thrilled with his situation. "Father Time may have an undefeated record but best believe I plan on taking him into triple overtime when it comes to my career". Chancellor missed the first two games before reporting.

Even though Seattle willingly moved on from some of these big names, Thomas was a player they probably thought would come around at some point over the course of the offseason.
