Rodgers is working his way back from a knee injury that sidelined him for a portion to the team's Sunday Night win over the Chicago Bears.

The Green Bay Packers were without receiver Davante Adams at Wednesday's practice due to a shoulder injury. "You have players in different categories".

#Packers QB Aaron Rodgers described his injury as a "sprained knee".

The team has yet to determine if Rodgers will even be able to practice at all this week ahead of their home opener. "He'll be given the whole week to get ready". He said after the game that while he had to undergo more tests, he planned on playing against Minnesota.

Rodgers said in his postgame interview Sunday night on NBC that he would play vs. the Vikings, against whom he broke his collarbone past year. "Just taking it one day at a time". "He's always responded. He puts a lot of extra time in. We'll see what tomorrow brings", McCarthy said during his Wednesday news conference.

Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer has joked that he expects Rodgers to play on Sunday without any problems.

The Vikings are planning to face Rodgers, not backup DeShone Kizer, in what will be quarterback Kirk Cousins' first NFC North game since signing in Minnesota as a free agent in March.
