Spurs have lost 10 of their last 15 Premier League games against Man City (W4 D1), having lost just three of their first 27 games against them in the competition.

Spurs have not seemed to miss the 22-year-old too badly winning all three of their Premier League fixtures during his absence, although fans of the North London club will be delighted to hear that the talented playmaker is close to regaining full fitness.

"To play in Wembley, Milton Keynes - different circumstances, so we have to say "come on, if we are realistic, we need to celebrate the position we are in and receive praise for that" but it doesn't matter if we don't get praise".

Guardiola said. "These are important".

"They show me how wrong I was", said Guardiola, who also labelled Monday's game a "six-pointer".

Spurs are the home side but will likely spend a lot of time without the ball - when they do have a chance to pin City back, it is imperative they don't allow quick counter-attacks to split them open. We are more comfortable here at the Etihad Stadium. I know I've always been amusing with you and I have a good relationship with you but my feeling is not the best.

The Manchester City manager, whose side face Spurs on Monday night at Wembley, made the remark after his team won 1-0 win against Chelsea in September a year ago before Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino branded the comments "disrepectful".

Tottenham's 21 points from nine games represents their best start to a Premier League campaign but they suffered a massive setback to their Champions League hopes on Wednesday when they could only draw 2-2 away to PSV Eindhoven.

"This season, my feeling is the worst".

"I think, like a team, we still didn't win nothing", he said.

"When you take care properly and focus, knowing that the pitch may not be in the best question, you have to be ready", said the Catalan.

Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola has spoken up on reports linking Tottenham Hotspur coach, Mauricio Pochettino to replace manager Julen Lopetegui at Real Madrid.

I don't know, many things happened in the summer, many things that make myself not in my best mood or best humour.

"I think the most important thing ahead of the game is how we feel, how we prepare for the game. We had 100 points is because we were focused on all the games".

"But it's easy to see in the last few years how we act in the [transfer] market, how we act in everything, and how the other teams were acting". Frustrations were evident over the summer after the Argentine failed to land a single player in the transfer window but with limited funding and a new stadium on the way, there's comparisons to Arsene Wenger and Arsenal when they swapped Highbury for Emirates.
