Fox and NBC to stop airing Trump immigrant ad deemed racist

Parscale made no mention of Fox's decision.
When asked about the offensive nature of the ad, Trumpsaid, "Well, a lot of things are offensive". NBC, after being criticized for running the ad during Sunday Night Football, pulled it. Facebook has reportedly stopped running the ad, and even Fox News pulled it too.
NBC and the Fox News Channel both said Monday that they will stop airing President Trump's campaign advertisement that includes footage of Luis Bracamontes, a twice-deported immigrant from Mexico sentenced to death in California for killing two police officers. But Trump has made the correlation many times, including during his June 2015 announcement, in Trump Tower, that he was running for president.
The ad was not submitted to either ABC or CBS, according to sources close with CNN. NBC was the first to pull the ad-which drew erroneous parallels between an undocumented Mexican immigrant who killed two cops and the caravan of migrants now hundreds of miles from the Southern border of the United States-amid audience backlash after it aired in a truncated 30-second form during an National Football League game between the New England Patriots and Green Bay Packers.
On Twitter, Brad Parscale, Trump's 2020 campaign manager, ignored the decision by Fox to pull the ad.
CNN said Saturday it refused to show the commercial because its journalists deemed it racist. It is akin to blaming Republicans for criminals who entered the country illegally under Presidents Trump or George W. Bush.
The fact that the Comcast-owned net would take the ad and run it put more than a fright into a number of Hollywood players, with Judd Apatow and Will & Grace star Debra Messsing chastising NBC.
"After further review we recognize the insensitive nature of the ad and have chose to cease airing it across our properties as soon as possible", the network reportedly said. This tweet was in response to a tweet by the president's son, Donald Trump Jr., in which he accused the network of "only run [ning] fake news" and not talking about "real threats that don't suit their agenda".
Facebook is still allowing its members to post the ad in their news feeds, however.
Facebook also announced Monday that the ad violated its advertising policy.
