According to a January 3 corporate memo obtained by Reuters, one was head of Huawei's digital marketing team and government relations team.

It is obvious that such blunders are accompanied by some bad press that Huawei does not need now. It also said that its employees will be tightening management of suppliers and partners going forward, as it blamed this incident on outside agencies it hired to run its social media accounts. In fact, some social media influencers have also been doing the same thing: take a couple of pictures, or laud an Android device using an iPhone. Soon enough, other news outlets caught wind - and so did Huawei bigwigs, who demoted the two employees by one rank and cut their salaries by 5,000 yuan ($728.27). This has been the case for the better part of 2018 when some phone Android phone companies were caught using iPhones to send tweets. Meng is accused of fraud for allegedly lying to USA banks about Huawei's relationship with Skycom, a Hong Kong-based company reportedly doing business with Iran.

As was expected, the tweet was quickly removed, but the damage had already been done. The Chinese company, which competes with other smartphone giants such as Samsung and Apple, posted a tweet on one of its accounts. The firewall in China is pretty strong, and a number of VPN's no longer work, to access sites that are blocked within China's borders. He was sent via a Smartphone to the big competitor Apple. Huawei is in a stiff competition with Apple and that can be clearly seen from Huawei's P-series smartphones at loggerheads for market sales with Apple's iPhone.

The Problem had originated from Reuters, because Tweets are usually sent via a Desktop PC, Twitter of censorship reasons in China but is not accessible.

Although this is not such a grave mistake, it still is an embarrassing situation, especially considering the alleged iPhone boycott. The account was shut down and later brought back by the company but without the tweets.
